As a mental health facility we are cautious with data mailed to us. After relocating away from one of our facilities and guessing that Changes of Address with insurance companies, other healthcare facilities, and others, could be a slow process, we needed a remote mail room that could receive, digitize, and/or handle all the mail that came to us. The extra benefit of having insurance payment checks deposited seemed also very attractive. And it all had to be HIPAA compliant. After about six months with Exela we can say that they performed as expected, and operated within HIPAA rules. In addition to introducing us to the benefits of having a remote mail room that could digitize our mail and deposit our checks, filing, storing, or forwarding the mail received in pdf format became easier for us.
